A standout defensive end for the University of Mississippi’s Ole Miss Rebels, Adams was found in a vehicle following a shooting near a residential neighborhood just after 10 p.m., according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived at the scene on Fern Glade Cove and immediately attempted life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, Adams was pronounced dead shortly after by emergency medical personnel from the Shelby County Fire Department.

The incident also left four other men wounded, all of whom were transported to local hospitals in personal vehicles. Officials confirmed their injuries were non-life-threatening. We never question God, but this is one we just don’t understand. This wasn’t supposed to be the end of his story.”
