Four-Star WR Kaydon Finley Commits to Notre Dame Over Texas
Notre Dame has landed a major addition to its 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star wide receiver Kaydon Finley, ranked No. 114 in the ESPN 300. The highly touted prospect chose the Fighting Irish over in-state powerhouse Texas, marking a significant recruiting win for Marcus Freeman’s staff.
Finley, a standout from Texas and one of the most productive high school receivers in the state, brings size, pedigree, and elite playmaking ability to South Bend. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound wideout is the son of former Green Bay Packers tight end and Super Bowl champion Jermichael Finley, giving him NFL bloodlines and a competitive edge that has long set him apart on the field.
His decision to head north reflects Notre Dame’s growing momentum on the recruiting trail. Finley becomes the 16th ESPN 300 commit in Notre Dame’s 2025 class, which currently ranks No. 4 in the nation, according to ESPN’s team rankings.
A polished route-runner with strong hands and the ability to create separation downfield, Finley is expected to be an immediate contributor once he arrives in South Bend. He averaged over 18 yards per catch last season, showcasing both vertical speed and physicality after the catch.
Notre Dame’s staff, including wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey, played a key role in Finley’s recruitment. The opportunity to be part of a storied program with a clear offensive vision and national exposure ultimately helped seal the deal.
With Finley on board, the Fighting Irish continue to position themselves as a national contender—not only on the field but in the recruiting landscape.
